Cautionary observation: Anyone choosing to make personal investments based upon the information found here - only do so at your own discretion, risk, and personal responsibility. As it says on the sign at the swimming pool sometimes - "No lifeguard on duty, swim at your own risk." :-)
This portfolio is intended to be the largest portion of the overall investment mix, with the primary objective being growth, and a secondary consideration being income. The Core portfolio can be downloaded here.
Portfolio of mostly large cap firms that pay a meaningful dividend with a history of consistent payouts. NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, many of these firms have withdrawn guidance (meaning that they won't tell investment analysts how they are doing, because they really cannot tell right now due to the thickness of the fog). That cautionary observation made...the overall performance of the yield portfolio has been good, and the focus on generating regular income via the dividend stream has performed as expected (so far...). The yield portfolio can be downloaded here.
This portfolio is not really a "portfolio" as much as it is a hiding place to run to when your real investment portfolios are not performing due to macro events that are beyond the addressable control of the executives running the companies you selected to invest in. Macro events such as the recent lock down of economic activity due to the Coronavirus Pandemic is a good example. This hiding place portfolio consists of two exchange traded funds (ETFs) - Physical Gold [SGOL], and Treasury Inflation Protected Bonds [TIP]. You won't get wealthy with this investment portfolio, but you will be able to sleep at night during highly uncertain periods. The Risk portfolio can be downloaded here.
I curate a number of investment ideas from multiple sources - a hobby of mine. From this curation of ideas, I utilize a subset of ideas to actually make investments. Much of what is summarized here is intended as reference data for idea generation - a "watch list" of sorts. I post it as a means of storing it in an accessible place (from wherever I am in the world), and as an "open notebook" for friends who wish to review what I am watching as part of their own process (a downloadable spreadsheet). None of what is summarized here is an investment recommendation. Swim at your own risk...no lifeguard on duty!
